Many young adults with developmental disabilities find themselves in a vacuum after high school and college without support services, resources, or community information that would facilitate their entry into the adult world.
Families Supporting Independence (FSI) was formed to help fill this void by providing safe, affordable housing and support for independent living. FSI’s goal is to create living situations for adults with developmental disabilities in the Portland, Oregon area. With housing and customized support services, every resident can live as independently as possible.
FSI is striving to create an independent living setting that is integrated into the larger community. With the inclusion of the highest caliber academic, social and artistic support services, each of the developmentally disabled adults can thrive and blossom.
